Open, Unended
Exploring the Mind While Exploring the Abandoned Walter Fernald School for Troubled Youth, Waltham, MA
Paired with a few videos I'd like to create surreal video, with original narrative/stories that leave brings more questions than answers. Will be returning to the location Saturday with a real camera because fuck this whole snapchat thing I don't like it any more other than for the convenience.
P.S. Excuse the formatting

Happy-ish
"Will I ever be happy? What does it mean to be happy? Is happy just a feeling or is it a state of being? Maybe it's just being able to get out of bed in the morning. I mean, sometimes I just have moments where I'm satisfied by some thing, or ... I see something that makes me feel wholesome. But, is that the same as happy? If we're always pursuing happiness, does that leave time for anything else? What's the difference between that and being addicted and chasing your next high? I mean, isn't that kind of messed up? We're always constantly pursuing knowing that we're never going to be able to hold onto it forever, but constantly trying to anyways."
- Happy-ish (2018)
People who spend their entire life trying to be happy, do they look back and see wasted time? I don't think life is about always being happy. Always being comfortable and relaxed. Who would want to be locked into a content state of mind? Sometimes the appropriate response is to suffer. If you were happy you were robbed, would you figure out how to put a lock on your door? No, you fucking wouldn't.

In editing is a series of short skits. More to be discovered soon. The project, content wise, is developing. Thankfully not stagnant.

dad(s)
Dad? Dad. The Dads.
Introducing each dad as they gather in their den for social interaction with each other at about mid-day. It is common for a group of humans to peel off from the herd that reside in the dorms, seeking freedom and refuge at the price of adulting more intensely. The group we look at today we call "The Dads", named from the sound they make to each other to communicate location and stay updated. It is a natural phenomenon and was not captured on film, however, this is a great chance to study their behavior and environment. NOT SPONSORED BY ANIMAL PLANET.
EDIT: Researching how to increase video quality, as it decreases between Export and again at Youtube upload.

A Snapumentary Trailer
Snapchat + Documentary = Snapumentary
Viewers be advised, some material may be unsuitable for young audiences (13+?). Follow Courtney as she, like many others, use snapchat to document daily life. From inner monologues reacting to the world to the 'Free Time' adventures any other twenty-one year old could find. Escaping the pressures of working part-time, being a student, girlfriend, daughter, and sister, there's nothing like letting go of some steam with pure nonsense. Why do life life yourself when you can watch someone else do it?
