I've been working on how I want to do my process book. I've considered having a series, a book explaining my process with a few other animation books to demonstrate the final pieces. This is the direction I am currently leaning in. I am considering having merged images on the cover of the process book like such,
to show progression. This idea slightly fits in with the vinyl I am photographing, overlayering and could make some interesting shapes.

Ink Drops Vinyl
I have been working on expanding my ink drop idea out of the water by live tracing my ink drops and having them vinyl cut. I will be installing them in a window and photographing the light that pours in through the negative space. I will be just capturing the highlights and shifts as the window is taken over.
My idea was to experiment having my ink drops in a larger environment and viewed as in our physical landscape, a bit less dreamlike but remain with an element of surrealism. I will photograph these hopefully today this evening if I get sunlight instead of greys. There will be 8 images.

Next Steps: Web Exhibition Catalogue
I've gotten a big jump on this idea one the last couple of days. I'm making a digital exhibition catalogue for my work. Here's screen shots for now. I'm planning on uploading progress to GitHub soon so I can put a link we can look at here. I will host this page through my website once it's done. I'll show more of the interactivity in class.

Weekend Processing
I have been imagining how I wish to display my images in my process book. John and I have discussed having multiple layers instead of having my book remain linear. I will have potential layouts soon.
I photographed my show and have started updating my website. (Still editing these images).
Working on updating my website for job searches I did over the weekend. I have a few places in mind I am applying too.

Show Photos
Took some pictures of my show wall before taking it down last Friday. Also went ahead and took some photos while in Boston this past weekend - some following the same theme of alienation and isolated places, others based on some of the (unexpected) conversations at my show with people coming up and discussing alien conspiracies with me. I liked some of the photos where the focus or lighting was misinterpreted by my phone's autofocus feature, which led to some washed out or blurry photos that I feel play into that idea of alien conspiracies and the idea of the unknown that people want to believe in anyway. Not sure what I might do with them further down the line, but that might be a way to incorporate type into my idea over time without getting too personal with it - which is what happened with my prior text and hence why I shied away from using it for the show since it was too raw for me to feel comfortable having in a public showing.

body form studies
With this short experiment I took a photograph of one of my models and created a vector outline. Along with that I inserted some of my images of skin into the form to help further abstract the visual of the body. This was unique to see how the textures worked as close ups within this vector drawing of the model's body.
This is the vector image by itself. ^
This is the original image.
