Memento mori

From last class we talked about finding a way to visually contrast the cracks on the wall to indicate that the idea of impermanence, and while conversing about my project it came to mind that even the building itself isn't permanent it just last longer than we will, maybe the cracks in the walls are it trying to converse with us of past events but we can't understand it. The Hardie building is trying to show it's existence by aging and breaking apart, even it wants to be remembered. The cracks in the wall could be treated more as a language that'll be documented and preserved as if it were hieroglyphics.

The images are taken from the third floor, seminar room, the hall way and both painting rooms.
